#CLASSSIZECHAOS The NCGA returns for another special session on January 10th, so let’s welcome them back in person!

Join us Wednesday January 10, 2018 from 9AM to 1PM for an old fashioned Advocacy Day! Come visit your elected representatives to ask them to fully fund the Class Size Mandates and to delay the impending fiasco they will cause. Let’s ask them to restore the ratios used in the original HB13 and allow hardship waivers for school districts that cannot provide the additional teachers, classroom space, or financial resources in time to meet the 2018- 19 school year deadline.

School districts need guaranteed funding and more time!

Be ready to join us and our partners from NCAE and the NC Justice Center to visit your reps! The NCGA must fix the slow-moving disaster that threatens to engulf districts, enhancement teachers, schools, and families.

Our schools must have enhancement (or specials) teachers FULLY funded in January to allow time for budgeting. Join us in asking our legislators to RESTORE CAPS to Grades 4 and 5 that they removed in 2013!

If you can’t make it Jan. 10th, or you can’t wait to ask your legislators, you can email them now with this link:

You can also tweet, using the #ClassSizeChaos hashtag. Remember to @ your members and legislative leaders, you can find your reps’ Twitter handles here:
