“The International Civil Rights Center & Museum (ICRCM) teams up with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) of Greensboro to host a World AIDS Day event on Friday, December 1, 2017. Join us to hear speakers from local, state, and national HIV advocacy groups. We will host a panel discussion on disclosure of HIV and how criminalization fuels its stigma. We will also discuss new science and updates to HIV care, prevention, vaccine, and cure. Afterward, there will be a question & answer segment that will spark a much-needed community conversation to push engagement toward our common goal of ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

This event will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, offering refreshments and the opportunity to gather information from community organizations following the program. There will also be an unveiling of portions of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, a powerful visual reminder of the worldwide AIDS pandemic. This will be on display at ICRCM until December 31st. This program is free and open to the public.”
