A little less than a month after Chatham residents packed out the Chatham County Agricultural & Conference Center, residents gather again tonight to give more public input, as well as a couple presentations, on the Confederate monument in downtown Pittsboro. One presentation, according to the agenda, is in favor of keeping the monument in its current location, while another is slated to come from Chatham historian Gene Brooks. No decision on the monument is expected tonight, but nearly 40 people have already signed up to give public comment. - Zachary Horner, Chatham News + Record
